MJRacing Hits The Top 10 at The Welsh Enduro Series - Coed Y Brenin
Mat and Mike took to the first round of the Welsh Enduro Series at Coed Y Benin, a few days practice before the event put them in good spirits for a discipline that neither of them had competed in before. A grueling 15 minutes of stages covering some trail center, fire roads and natural terrain they were looking to capitalize on some local know how to bring some speed in the race lap. Unfortunately Mat dropped his chain to back it up with an over the bars on the second stage saw him salvaging the final stage to finish in 31st overall.
"Its been a learning experience, a few mistakes meant I was playing catch-up, it was a positive weekend and looking forward to the rounds ahead" Mathew James.
Mike had a more consistent day after realising how hard riding up the hills then racing down them was not as close to downhill as he thought. With consistent stages he finished in 7th overall with some tight racing at the sharp end of Senior.
"I have a new found respect for all those enduro riders out there, it was definitely hard to keep smooth over 14 minutes of racing but I enjoyed the experience and I will be coming back to the next one!"
